CUA Coalition supports HR56 -Resolution advancing Prostate Cancer Awareness

The CUA wishes to thank and acknowledge Assemblymember Marc Levine for introducing HR56 proclaiming September 2021 as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in California.

This Resolution brings awareness to the need for prostate cancer screenings and the need to remove cost sharing barriers to care.

The Resolution comes after AB 1520, a bill supported by the CUA Coalition, to help make prostate cancer screening accessible and affordable in California was unfortunately not advanced in the Appropriations Committee in June.
